🏗️ The Problem: Narrative vs. Fact
Sensationalism thrives on "junk food" news—stories that tickle the ear but provide no nutritional fact. To level the playing field, VFS needed a mathematical way to distinguish between a "narrative" (opinions) and "facts" (atomic, verifiable claims).
🚀 The Evolution: The Syndicate Synthesis Engine
In Era III, we launched the Public UI and introduced the metrics that define VFS today.
- Grounded Density: We stopped measuring "words" and started measuring the "Cost-per-Fact." This metric ensures that our synthesis is dense with information, not chatter.
- Logical Friction: We developed the algorithm that detects contradictions across a timeline. By comparing new claims against the historical BigQuery index, VFS identifies "Double Standards" automatically.
- The Glass Box UI: We moved beyond simple summaries to "Briefs" that allow users to drill down into the evidence for every single sentence.
⚖️ Strategic Impact
Era III brought VFS to the public. We provided the "antidote to sensationalism" by giving consumers a platform where they could see the work, verify the facts, and trust the process. We reached our benchmark efficiency of $0.02 - $0.05 per verified claim.
